Protecting your personal data is especially important to me. I treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

This privacy policy explains which data I collect on my website, what I use it for, and what rights you have regarding your data.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted on servers of Hetzner Cloud (Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany). Hetzner processes personal data exclusively within the scope of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

4. Access data (server log files)

When visiting this website, information transmitted by your browser is automatically collected. This includes:

  • Visited page
  • Date and time of access
  • Amount of data transferred in bytes
  • Source/reference from which you reached the page
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address (in anonymized form)

This data is used exclusively to ensure smooth operation of the site and to improve my offering. It is not merged with other data sources.

5. Content delivery & security via Cloudflare

To improve security and performance, I use Cloudflare as a CDN and reverse proxy. The provider is Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare acts as a processor and protects this website against attacks (e.g. DDoS).

6. Contact form

If you send me inquiries via the contact form, your details from the form, including the contact data you provide there, will be stored for the purpose of processing the request and in case of follow-up questions. I do not share this data without your consent. Data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry).

7. Web analytics with Plausible Analytics (self-hosted)

For anonymized analysis of page views, I use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly open-source software that I operate on my own server.

Plausible does not use cookies and does not store personal data. Only aggregated information about page views is collected, e.g. which pages were visited how often, from which countries access occurred, and which devices or browsers were used. It is not possible to identify individual visitors. Data processing is based on my legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to better assess the reach and performance of my website without compromising visitor privacy.

8. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • Access to your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

An informal email is sufficient to exercise your rights.

9. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data. The competent authority is, for example, the state data protection authority in your federal state of residence.

I reserve the right to update this privacy policy from time to time so it always reflects current legal requirements or changes to my services.
